One of big programs of taking care of dioxin victims is “Cow bank” project funded by Vietnamese people society in Ukraine through a the Life Is Beautiful program being launched by the provincial Red Cross across 10 communes of Tan Uyen district.
Functional agencies pay a gift visit to a dioxin victim.
Accordingly, there will be 50 cows worth VND350mil granted to 50 dioxin victim families. Tran Thi Lien, chairwoman of the Red Cross, said “we completed assessment on the cow bank project’s beneficiaries. Dairy cows will be handed over to families for a period of 12 months in order to help improve economic stability. Recipients will be required to return a female calf to the Red Cross, which in turn will be given to a new beneficiary joining the project.
Le Anh Tuan in Vinh Tan commune, a beneficiary from the project, said “Thank you all level agencies for attention given to us”.
Sponsor fund for dioxin victims set up
The provincial dioxin victim society will hold activities on the anniversary of Day for Vietnamese dioxin victims. The highlighted character for the activities includes an establishment of the sponsor fund for dioxin victims.
