Bau Bang district transaction office of Social Policy Bank has completed disbursing preferential loans, job creation support and funds for clean water and sanitation for women members of Long Nguyen commune. Accordingly, this time, 28 women members of Long Nguyen commune were supported to borrow loans with a total loan amount of up to 920 million VND.
Namely, 12 women members of Long Nguyen commune take out preferential loans for job creation, home-based business development, including retailers, rubber tree farmers, livestock farming, etc. with a loan limit of 50 million VND/member, loan term of 36 months, fixed interest rate 0.66%/month, total disbursed loan reached 600 million VND. Meanwhile, 16 other members were supported to get loans for clean water and sanitation for the purpose of repairing clean water systems with a loan limit of VND 20 million/member, loan term of 60 months, fixed interest rate 0.75%/month, total disbursed loan 320 million VND.
Through the loans with preferential interest rates mentioned above, Bau Bang District Transaction Office of Social Policy Bank and Women's Union of Long Nguyen Commune hope that women members would have more capital and funds for family economic development, improving their living standards. In addition to the preferential loan program, functional departments of Bau Bang District have regularly coordinated and organized many propagation, training and vocational training programs for rural workers. Thereby, helping people have an opportunity to approach and get acquainted with new economic models and industries, gradually improve and develop family economy.
