Early March 23, provincial Social Work and Protection Center held a ceremony to celebrate the Vietnam Social Work Day on March 25, with the theme of "Towards the community" at Vinh Hoa communal People's Committee in Phu Giao district. More than 140 delegates, including social workers at all levels, those who are provided with services from social work, and supported with livelihood to overcome difficulties, attended the event.
Vietnam Social Work Day, March 25 is an opportunity to recognize, evaluate and honor the noble value and human meaning of the social work profession while upholding the tradition of "good leaves protect the torn ones", attracting the attention of people from all strata to actively participate in helping individuals, families and communities with difficult circumstances... Last year, the center coordinated with the Divisions of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of districts, towns and cities to provide emergency support for 199 households affected by the Covid-19 pandemic with the amount of VND535 million, help 39 cases, with the amount of VND253 million for economic development...
On this occasion, the delegates heard experts’ talk about "Solutions to improve the operational efficiency of shelters in protecting vulnerable people in the community".
