Becamex International Hospital (BIH) has completed the 1st stage, recruited doctors, staff, purchased high-quality medical equipment. This is one non-public hospital in form of health socialization to meet increasing people's need for healthcare services...
Doctor Nguyen Van Truong, Director of BIH said, the hospital was built on an area of 12.76 hectares and invested by Becamex IDC. During the 1st stage, blocs of logistics, professional were constructed with a total area of about 53,000m2. BIH will have 1200 sickbeds including 300 sickbed were put into use firstly; 45 clinics with modern equipment and aseptic techniques.

At the present, BIH has more than 400 officials including 80 doctors. In the 1st stage, the hospital invested more than VND400 billion in high-quality medical equipment, for example, MRI 3.0T, CT 256, and DSA system. BIH is expected to reduce the burden of public hospitals, provide high-quality medical services for the community
Dr. Truong said: “MRI 3.0T system will help improve the quality of healthcare, treatment, due to and more accurate earlier disease detection and more accurate diagnosis. 256-slice CT system is better than the generation of 64 slice, because of lower scanning time, higher image quality, lower radiation dose and radiocontrast agents in artery CT scan. DSA system is the key equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular lesions, cerebral artery disease...”
BIH operations are also to provide health care services for all people including foreigners in the region. The hospital will save 3 to 5% of sickbed number for poor patients and policy beneficiaries with 20-100% discount on hospital fees; also provide health care services for insured patients.
The hospital was built to meet prescribed standards, provide a full range of medical services, including inpatient and outpatient services, comprehensive diagnostic, treatment, diagnosis, testing, paraclinical service and other related services. Furthermore, BIH will also be a practicing place of medical universities and colleges, give training to medical staff of hospitals, health care facilities; facilitate scientific research, application of scientific and technological advances in health care. Additionally, the hospital will cooperate with leading and spcialized hospitals to improve the quality of treatment as well as share high-quality medical equipment with other health care facilities.
Regarding development orientations, Nguyen Van Hung, CEO of Becamex IDC said, due to the current situation, investments in any fields need careful considerations of difficulties and risks. Medical field is more difficult, because it requires both strong capital and personnel resource. However, we must do this, because investment attraction depends on many factors. In addition to open policies, simple procedures, Binh Duong also need to develop comprehensively transportation system, public services, health, educational, cultural services… to become an optimal living and working environment. This is also the objective of the corporation.

BIH will officially be opened in 2016 and satisfy increasing demands of people in Binh Duong, neighbouring regions as well as foreign experts living and working in the province.
