Department of Health has just deployed the inspection on its year’s operations in private and public health services. Private hospitals and clinics have actively helped to reduce burdens of local General Hospital to meet the demands for better health services for local people.
Investment expansion
For the year, Binh Duong Province has been invested with health services by enterprises. Huynh Thanh Ha, the Deputy Director of Department of Health informed of socialization has been administered to sustainable development of health services. The province has facilitated the investment luring with public and transparent procedures to establish and develop private health services in a bid to improve health-care system of the province. Of 42 general clinics, 27 have been invested from outside the province. General hospitals of Van Phuc and Hoan Ho have been supported with favored operation conditions.

For the new year, the construction and putting into use of Becamex International Hospital will add more health services for local people. Nguyen Van Truong, the Director of Becamex International Hospital informed of the construction on 12.76ha as invested by Becamex IDC. For the stage 1, the construction covers 53,000 m2 for logistic sector in 2-3 story building and health service zone in 4-6 story building. The hospital will offer 1,200 patient beds to preliminarily service 300 patient beds. The hospital rooms 45 examination divisions with modern medical equipment. Currently, the hospital has been staffed by 80 doctors among its over 400 staffs. Over VND 400 million has been invested to medical equipment including high quality equipment such as MRI 3.0T, CT 256 array, and DSA system application. The hospital will make use of such equipment to reduce burden of public hospitals supplying high quality medical services to the community.
The hospital is to supply health services to all classes of people including foreigners on visit to Binh Duong Province and the neighborhood. The hospital will be preserved with 3-5% of patient beds for patients of poverty and socially-privileged policies for discounts of 20 to 100%. The hospital as constructed meets requirements of services including admission, thorough diagnosis, treatment, tests, para-clinic, and other added services for health caring. The hospital will also be a place of practices of colleges and universities or other health-care facilities. The hospital will also be investing into scientific researches and application of technology advancement in health examination and care for the patients.
The appreciated pros
On evaluating the private medical services, the department official confirmed the quality improvements in accordance with Circular No. 19/2013/TT-BYT dated July 12, 2013 guiding the quality control of health services in the hospitals. Majority of the hospitals have issued their complete regulations and designation of faculties and departments. Some have even set up communication, documents, and diversified information regarding the guidance on caring, provision, and nutrition of common diseases.
Private hospitals and clinics have been set up with caring services and nutrition regime for popular diseases and practices in the hospitals. Disease and treatment records have been well maintained by the rational application of IT in management. The reception of patients have been well implemented in 3 steps as required by Decision No. 1313/QD-BYT dated April 22, 2013 of Ministry of Health with detail guidance.
Some private hospitals have successfully offered spacious beds to patients with good services.
Patient satisfaction has been taken good care of. Patients have been cared and nursed in good conditions with evaluation and monitor of nutrition status during the hospitalization. The hospitals have been established with quality control system in good operations. The reporting and remedy system has been construction to mitigate errors and risks. By the year-end inspection, the drawbacks in private hospitals and clinics have been remedied for better operations for the time to come.
