Provincial Fire Prevention-Fighting Police Department and Metro Cash & Carry Vietnam Co.Ltd. took part in a fire-fighting drill at Metro Binh Duong.

With the purpose of helping poor disabled people and dioxin victims, the provincial Red Cross Society has launched a project themed ‘Cow Bank’ funded by Vietnamese community in Ukraine through ‘beautiful life’ program. 50 cows worth VND350mil will be granted to 50 poor disabled people and dioxin victims.

 Tran Thi Nguyen, born in 1985 in Plei Di riet, Nhon Hoa tonwhsip, Chu Puh, Gia Lai province just gave birth 3 baby girls with the weight of 1.6kg, 1.7kg and 1.9kg each at Gia Lai provincial General Hospital.  Her joy cannot prolong, owing to her family’s difficult life. Her husband has worked as a worker with a modest income while she has lacked breast milk to support for new-born babies. Her husband and she cannot afford to buy powder milk for their babies.

A non-commercial restaurant sponsored by Thanh Le General Import Export Trading Company was opened in Hiep Thanh Ward, Thu Dau Mot Town as a follow-up to decision of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee. Each meal serve is charged at VND 10,000 or VND 5,000 lower than normal catering restaurant. The action done is meaningful to poor people in the face of escalating market prices.

At the national conference for typical veterans of the movement of ‘All people join in traffic safety and order’ for the 2007-2010 period held at the provincial People’s Committee, the local Veterans Society and mass bodies contributed to promulgations on traffic safety. The society at all levels positively joined and reached remarkable results in the movement of ‘All people ensure traffic safety’.

E-idea, an innovative competition, held jointly by the British Council and the Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), to seek solutions for protecting the environment and coping with climate change, has been launched in Vietnam.
