As an industrial province with 28 industrial parks and compounds and over 1.6 million of residents, Binh Duong has suffered pressure on waste, especially urban and industrial wastes. Therefore, the urgent issue is how to collect, transport and treat kinds of wastes to ensure environmental hygiene and sustainable development.
One of units leading the locality in collecting and treating wastes is Binh Duong Water Supply and Environment One-member Company (BIWASE). BIWASE has been the investor of Nam Binh Duong solid waste treatment compound located at Ben Cat district’s Chanh Phu Hoa commune.
The compound has specialized in collecting, transporting and treating kinds of garbage, solid and harmful wastes. The provincial biggest project has contributed to solve all kinds of wastes in the locality.
On the scale of 75ha, the compound has so far had items adequately to meet demand on waste treatment with a capacity of 700 tons of garbage and over 80 tons of industrial waste and has run 2 dust holes to treat garbage.
The efficiency of the Nam Binh Duong solid waste treatment compound has gradually increased. Since the start of this year, the compound has received and treated about 22,000 tons of industrial wastes.
In addition, a dust-hole compound with a capacity of 35 tons per day has been invested well. Aside from treating wastes, BIWASE has used waste mud from companies and ash from incinerators to research and produce products of brick and concrete… These products have been used at BIWASE’s internal works, Chanh Nghia resettlement area.
To increase economic efficiency from environmental protection, BIWASE will run a compost fertilizer processing plant from garbage with a capacity of 420 tons per day and invest a line of classifying and recycling nylon wastes, take full advantage of incinerators’ temperature to produce electricity and so on.
