This is an important project to collect and solve waste water in the Southern area of the province. The project has a worth of VND1,980bil, 80% of which is from Japan International Cooperation Agency and the remaining is from Vietnam.
After a 5 year implementation, the project has received a great response from the community, owing to its profits. Possibly speaking, the project’s first phase has reached 70% of its progress. The localities such as Phu Cuong, Phu Loi, Chanh Nghia wards and part of Hiep Thanh, Phu Tho and Phu Hoa wards will enjoy profits from the project.
It is difficult to install more equipment of water supply and treatment on narrow routes. So, Could you please say whether the project building will impact on people’s life?
Before launching the project, we asked contractors to mull over measure, technology and implementation of the project to minimize impacts on people’s life. However, we have still faced obstacles of geology, compensation.
Despite difficulties, we have made efforts to minimize influences on life and transport of local people.
When will local households join waste treatment system with waste treatment plants?
As of March, 2012, network of water waste collection at pumping stations and waste water treatment plants reached 50% of its progress. With the progress, I think that waster water joining at households will be implemented by June or July.
Could you tell about the joining’s purpose?
The joining is to collect waster water directly from households to solve by collection network. The waste water treatment plant must be reached standard 5945-2005, class A. The joining work will run experimentally with about 2,000 cubic meters of waste water from 2,500 households. 100% of capacity of the joining work will be operated in the following 5 years.
However, we are in need of promulgation and cooperation from functional agencies to raise people’s awareness and hi-unity.
Could you tell about financial policy and structure of the joining work?
There are 2 regulations of structure and financial policy before joining. So far, our company has built structure and financial policy for the joining. As for structure, we specify the joining’s objects of local rich and poor households to consider fee collection properly. In addition, we have calculated fees of waste water collection.
After implementation of the project, most routes appear bad traces on surface, what will we do to beautify the routes?
We will repair surface of the routes after completion of the project. To eliminate the traces, we will cover a new asphalt layer on large routes whilst we will repair small routes.
The project’s 1st phase is going to complete but there are still many works must be done. We are in need of relevant agencies’ cooperation and promulgation to win positive response from local people.
