In first days of the Lunar New Year, the working atmosphere at provincial building projects has been hastened. Contractors, consulting and monitoring agencies put more efforts to speed up these projects.
Works to be sped up
Mr. Nguyen Chi Duc, Deputy Director of Investment and Construction Project Management Board, said, up to this point, most projects in the plan of year 2015 have been set to work.
At the site of Binh Duong Pulmonary Tuberculosis Hospital project in Phu Tho hamlet, Phu Chanh commune, Tan Uyen town, workers here worked very hard. According to Mr. Pham Dinh Liem, who was technical official of contactor Vinh Phat Construction Company, right after Tet holidays, they started to work with high determination to complete the proposed schedule. Mr. Liem said, by now, they are performing scaffolding, formwork, and beaming of the 3rd floor. This project has a total investment of nearly VND273 billion, is constructed in 2 phases. The 1st phase is from 2013 to the end of 2015; the 2nd phase is from 2015 to 2016.
Binh Duong Pulmonary Tuberculosis Hospital project.
The project of Binh Duong 1,500-sickbed General Hospital has a total construction investment of over VND2318.6 billion; construction period from 2014 to 2018, Investment and Construction Project Management Board is the contractor. Currently, the project is completing the fundament. These projects are extremely important to the health sector to meet people’s demand for medical care. Therefore, project acceleration is very important.
Besides medical projects, construction speed of key projects, such as: (from the 12th to 32nd kilometer), Ong Co bridge on DT744 road, My Phuoc - Tan Van route, have been accelerated. Mr. Nguyen Chi Duc said, Investment and Construction Project Management Board is the contractor of DT744 road project. By now, Package 1 is executing remaining items at newly cleared locations; Package 2 is completing the 1st hot asphaltic concrete layer at the route end; Package 3 is completing the 1st hot asphaltic concrete layer at the route head and tiling sidewalks at newly cleared locations, Package 4 is carrying out the hot asphaltic concrete layer and landfill…
Regarding My Phuoc - Tan Van route (10-kilometer long crossing Di An town), investor Becamex IDC informed that they had completed more than 50% assigned surface area up to Feb 4th; total completed area reached 7,6km.
To ensure the quality and safety
To accelerate the implementation of projects, Investment and Construction Project Management Board in collaboration with Land Development Center will continue to accelerate clearance and resettlement; inspect and monitor regularly projects under construction; urge construction units to speed up works and ensure quality and proposed schedules.
On the other hand, quality and safety guarantee has been paid much attention. According to Mr. Pham Dinh Liem, at Pulmonary Tuberculosis Hospital project, constructor has implemented safety measures, namely hanging panels, posters warning of working safety. In addition, boards of occupational safety, fire prevention were established. Mr. Pham Manh Cuong, commander of the Studio - FM radio broadcasting project (Binh Duong Radio and Television), said, in order to ensure project quality, 2-3 technical officials have been assigned to supervise and give direct instructions to the construction.
Mr. Nguyen Chi Duc said, to ensure the required quality, contractors have assembled equipment, machines to ensure conformity to technical and design specifications. Qualified staff has been assigned to projects.
