Small actions with great significance

Yesterday morning (March 17), provincial Youth Union, in collaboration with Binh Duong Power Company, launched a cycling parade to promote the “Earth Hour 2025” campaign at provincial Exhibition and Convention Center. The event was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, Permanent Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of provincial People’s Council and Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

Leaders of the province, departments and sectors in the province wave their signal to launch a parade program in response to provincial “Earth Hour 2025” campaign

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of provincial Youth Union stated that in 2025, with the message of "Green transition - Green future", the Earth Hour campaign calls on the community to embrace a new way of life by fully transitioning to environmentally friendly solutions and habits. The cycling parade aims at raising public awareness about environmental protection, energy conservation and climate change response. This is a small action with great significance, reflecting each individual's responsibility to contribute to the community.

The cycling parade in support of the “Earth Hour 2025” campaign is a highly meaningful activity, demonstrating a simple action that bears a powerful message. Cycling is not only an eco-friendly mode of traffic, but also a symbol of a bright, sustainable and environmentally conscious future. It helps reduce the growing air pollution in urban areas and encourages the community to actively participate in the Earth Hour campaign and other environmental protection initiatives.

Mrs. Trinh shared that the green transition is not only about shifting from fossil fuels to renewable energy, but also about changing wasteful consumption habits into sustainable practices such as switching from polluting transportation to eco-friendly alternatives. Along with this, actively encouraging the community to use renewable energy, reduce plastic waste and protect water resources is essential. All these actions contribute to creating a greener future.

"Green Transition - Green Future" is not only a slogan, but also a strategy, a sustainable approach to protecting our planet. This is the message that the world wants to send to all of you today. Think about the future of our children and the generations to come. A greener, cleaner and more hopeful world awaits us—if we take action today”, said Mrs. Trinh.

Provincial Youth Union, in collaboration with Binh Duong Power Company and Aeon Mall Binh Duong Canary, is organizing various practical activities, including implementing the "25-second engine-off" program, distributing leaflets, hanging banners to promote the Earth Hour campaign; organizing a flashmob dance competition themed "Green dance – Join hands to save energy"…to support this campaign.

On this occasion, the organization board will host a running race in support of the “Earth Hour” campaign, an English speech contest on environmental protection and a lights-off night in response to the “Earth Hour 2025” campaign. The highlight of this year's event is to encourage the community to participate in a cycling activity, not only to support the “Earth Hour” campaign, but also to spread the message that each individual can contribute to creating a cleaner and more sustainable living environment for themselves and generations in the future. Through these meaningful actions, Binh Duong aims at building up a greener province while promoting the message of “Green Transition – Green Future”, striving for a sustainable world and a better future for all people.

Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of provincial Youth Union: "Every small action we take can create a powerful ripple effect and contribute to the global green transition. It is not only a commitment to saving energy for one hour, but also a pledge to change daily habits and decisions we make every day in our lives. The  Earth Hour 2025 will take place from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
