Spreading love, bringing a warm Tet to everyone

During these days, the work of caring for the poor, disadvantaged groups and social protection beneficiaries for the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival is being carried out by all-level authorities and sectors through many practical activities. With the motto of "no one is left behind", provincial Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) has organized delegations to visit and offer gifts to disadvantaged, disabled people and those being cared for and nurtured at provincial social protection facilities.

Bringing Tet to people in need

On January 6, provincial FFC organized delegations to visit and offer Tet gifts to blind individuals and social support facilities in the province.

Widespread compassion

Although they cannot be gathered with their families and loved ones during the traditional Lunar New Year like most people, beneficiaries at the social support facilities still feel warmth because they are always well cared for by staff at the facilities. Additionally, they receive the attention and support of various agencies, departments, organizations and the community.

Le Van Man, Director of Ben San Leprosy Treatment Center shared: "In recent years, the treatment center has always received attention from local authorities at all levels. This is a source of encouragement for us to fulfill our duties well. We hope that these small gifts will help uplift the spirit of the patients and allow them to have a warmer and more fulfilling Tet, even though they cannot reunite with their families during the Tet holiday".

As the Tet festival approaches, many blind association members in the province, receiving visits and gifts from provincial FFC, expressed their joy and mentioned that these gifts would help them and their families purchase necessary items for a warmer and more meaningful Tet.

Trinh Thi Sau, 59 years old, a blind association member in Phu Giao district’s An Binh commune shared: "I am blind and my husband is a self-employed worker, so life is still very difficult. Today, I was invited to the province to receive a gift from provincial FFC and I feel very happy. The Tet holiday is getting closer. The gift I received today will be saved to prepare for the Tet holiday for my family".

The care, support and companionship of the local authorities and the community have continued bringing warmth and love to those in difficult circumstances who have suffered many disadvantages. The gifts are not only affection from the giver to the recipient, but they also help disadvantaged people alleviate some of the hardships in their lives, boost their confidence and optimism, and provide them with conditions for a more fulfilling and warm Tet filled with love.

According to leaders of provincial FFC, the fund for the Tet gift distribution this time was supported by provincial Fund for the Poor, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (Kocham), and provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association. With the care and attention of provincial FFC and the support from the accompanying units, these meaningful Tet gifts will help  beneficiaries and social support facilities have better conditions to prepare for Tet in a warmer and more meaningful atmosphere.
