With the spirit of proactiveness and responsibility, provincial Labor Union has focused on directing the effective implementation of the Project No. 02 on "Mass mobilization in building a cultured and civilized lifestyle" in association with patriotic emulation movements within the trade union system.
Many effective models and practices
Accordingly, provincial trade unions at all levels have implemented the movement through various effective models and practices to contribute to building a cultured and civilized lifestyle, closely linked with patriotic emulation movements among officials, trade unionists and workers. A notable example is the Trade Union of Thu Dau Mot city with the movement of "Citizen with five exemplary performances” in connection with the campaign of "Trade Union Blue Shirt" organized every Tuesday, significantly contributed to widespread communication about the position and role of the Vietnam Trade Union. To date, the "Trade Union Blue Shirt" movement has become a familiar campaign across agencies, offices and enterprises, leaving a deep impression on workers and employers.
Another example is the model of “officials, civil servants, public employees, trade unionists and workers set examples by practicing "Five Build-s, Three Prevent-s". The implementation of this model has clearly contributed to building Thu Dau Mot into a civilized, prosperous, modern and affectionate city. At the same time, trade unionists, workers and public employees have actively participated in and supported, ensuring public security and organizing sanitation, planting and tending ornamental plants in front of schools. Trade union locals in the city have also maintained Trade Union group meetings, verbal propaganda and talk shows on the consequences of not complying with traffic safety regulations, helping trade unionists and workers strictly follow the law and avoid traffic violations.
Meanwhile, Tan Uyen city’s Labor Union has implemented the “Book of Love” program to mobilize and collect used textbooks, school supplies and means of transportation in order to donate them to students with difficult circumstances. They also launched the “Blooming Trash Bin” model to encourage environmental awareness and joy in maintaining cleanliness, thereby yielding practical results in environmental protection across various units and traffic routes in the area. The city’s Labor Union also organized a trade unionists’ festival and a creative fashion show competition themed “Joining Hands to Protect the Environment” which attracted a large number of trade unionists and workers.
Ben Cat city’s Labor Union, in coordination with provincial Support Center for Young Workers, organized a weekly “Workers’ Youth Rendezvous” program. The event features lively activities such as musical exchanges, street music performances, traditional folk games… The event also integrated communication campaigns on drug harm prevention and skills for handling situations related to drug-related crimes, attracting the participation of thousands of workers…
Joining hands to build cultured and civilized lifestyle
According to provincial Labor Union, through the implementation of the Project No.02 on "Mass Mobilization in Building a Cultured and Civilized Lifestyle" in association with patriotic emulation movements within the Trade Union system, provincial trade unions at all levels have made significant efforts to carry out the project effectively. This has contributed to raising awareness and proactivity in adhering to ethical standards, complying with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State’s laws, company regulations and labor laws among trade unionists, workers and employers. At the same time, they have actively participated in building and implementing the codes of conduct and internal regulations within enterprises; engage with lodging facilities, hamlets and residential areas in fostering a cultural environment in the local community. Notably, many agencies and businesses have registered for the title of “Culture-Standard Agency, Unit or Enterprise”.
Ong Thuy Hoang Mai, Vice President of provincial Labor Union stated that in the coming time, provincial Labor Union will continue focusing on directing the implementation of the Project No.02 on "Mass Mobilization in Building a Cultured and Civilized Lifestyle" in connection with patriotic emulation movements within the Trade Union system among Trade Unionists and workers.
Accordingly, provincial trade unions at all levels will continue strengthening communication efforts to raise awareness and responsibility among trade unionists, workers and public employees in complying with the law, protecting the environment, obeying traffic laws, maintaining public order and safety and practicing civilized and cultured behaviors in all aspects of life—culturally, spiritually, on social media platforms like Zalo and Facebook and within agencies, units, businesses and communities.
Provincial trade unions at all levels are actively promoting and raising awareness among trade unionists and workers to join hands in effectively building a cultured and civilized lifestyle across the province. Notably, 95% of agencies and units have registered to achieve the title of "Cultural Standard Agency/Unit" and 80% of enterprises have registered to meet cultural standards. Along with that, there has been a strong push to widely promote exemplary trade unionists and workers who actively participate in cultural and civilized lifestyle building movements. Efforts are also being made to encourage trade unionists and workers to take part in local movements such as developing cultural lodging facilities and cultural residential areas; mobilize their families and relatives to contribute to building a cultural and civilized lifestyle, achieving recognition as “Cultural Families”, “Cultural Residential Areas”, ensuring safety and public order…
