On the annual Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, the province frequently organizes many programs with meaningful gifts for unfortunate people, especially children with difficult circumstances.
Shared spring
With the significance of bringing warm smiles to children, Thuan An town’s People’s Committee has just held the “Beloved spring with needy children” program 2019. Coming to the program, the local children with difficult circumstances had a chance to enjoy special art performance items. They were also presented 450 Tet gifts from the program. The province has a total cost of around VND440million, including VND350million from State budget and VND90million from provincial Children Support Fund.

The program aimed to bring the local disadvantaged children practical gifts on the occasion of the Tet festival 2019. This was one of the town’s activities towards social welfare, partially sharing difficulties with unfortunate children.
Huynh Thi Thanh Phuong, Vice-Chairwoman of Thuan An town’s People’s Committee said that over the past time, the town’s Party Committee and People’s Committee paid more attention to child care, protection and education. The “Beloved spring with needy children” program is very significant, partially sharing difficulties with the local disadvantaged children and their families.
Spring to all needy children
As of now, the province’s activities visiting, offering Tet gifts to children have been finished. This year, the province has increased Tet subsidies for children with extremely difficult circumstances to VND700,000 per person together with 1,955 gifts worth more than VND1.3billion.
Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has also sent a document requiring localities to pay attention to caring for disadvantaged children. They have also been ordered to recheck the list of needy children for timely care in order to ensure that all children will enjoy Tet.
According to a report by provincial Child Support Fund, as of now, the province has successfully organized 3 “Spring with needy children” journeys in Di An, Thuan An towns and Bau Bang district. As a result, 742 poor children were offered gifts with a total expense of approximately VND504million. Especially, provincial Child Support Fund held the 12th provincial live TV program “Spring with needy children” 2019. Through the program, the organizers mobilized more than VND6.1billion; visited, offered long-term subsidies to 1,073 children with a total expense of more than VND1billion…
