Spring early comes to the poor

On these days, Red Cross cadres in the province are very busy with a task of taking care of people with difficult circumstances, helping them enjoy a warm and happy Tet. Many Tet gifts were early sent to thousands of the local needy people, making the Tet atmosphere get more significant.

On the annual Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels frequently organize the “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims” program, which is seen as a bridge between organizations, units and the poor. This is a significant program, helping the poor enjoy a joyful and happy Tet.

Over the past days, delegations of sectors, Red Cross Societies at all levels and many other mass organizations in the province visited and presented gifts to those who have difficult circumstances. All recipients, namely Au Thi Hanh in Hoi Nghia commune’s hamlet 1 in Tan Uyen town and Ly Thi Ghet in Tan My commune’s Vuon Vu hamlet in North Tan Uyen town…, felt very happy as having more conditions to welcome Tet.

Mrs.Trinh said that provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels have mobilized organizations and individuals in and out of the province to contribute more than VND10.2billion to the “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims” program 2018. From the fund, many Tet gifts will be given for the local disadvantaged people.

It is known that today, January 17, provincial Red Cross Society will organize the “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims” program 2018, which is broadcasted on BTV channel. The program aims to pay tribute to those who have joined joins in offering help to the poor while giving Tet gifts for the poor. Besides, the program will get more significant with a pink spring festival, which is expected to absorb around 1,000 voluntary blood donors…
