A prosperous spring is overwhelming Phu Giao district’s An Binh commune where crowds with ethnic people groups. The communal vice chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen said the locality now has 206 ethnic households with 875 people, over 95% of whom are Khmer people and over 70% enjoy a prosperous life.
Nguu Bu, an ethnic resident said on Tet 2010 local ethnic people enjoyed gift visits of businesses and units. In these days, along roads in the commune are national power pillars, red roof houses and asphalted roads connecting hamlets.
Thanks to great attention from the Party and the State, local ethnic households have applied scientific advances into farming, resulting in high economic values. For instance, Nguu Bu, Nguu Thi Hanh, Tri Giay… are ethnic residents enjoying a rich life. Nguu Bu said his family has a 6 ha rubber plantation with a stable income every month.
Notably, preferential policies for local ethnic students have been over the past time conducted timely. Therefore, many local ethnic students have graduated from high schools, colleges, universities. Some of them return to dedicated to their homeland.
Over the past time, local authorities have paid much attention to ethnic households through health care, gift visits, unity house offerings and among others, resulting in reduction of poverty household rate.
