Springtime for children in hardship

On the afternoon of January 25th, at the Provincial Conference and Exhibition Center, the Council of Trustees of the Fund for Children in Difficult Circumstances in Binh Duong province organized the 17th program of "Spring with Children in Difficult Circumstances in 2024". The program was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Member of the provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of the Party Standing Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the provincial Party Committee, along with leaders of departments, committees, and sectors, as well as over 1,000 children in difficult circumstances from 9 districts, towns, and cities.

In his speech at the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc extended Tet greetings to all children in the province, as well as the organizations and businesses that have been supporting the program for many years. In 2023, the Fund for Supporting Poor Children in Binh Duong province continues to receive attention and assistance from many kind-hearted individuals, organizations, both within and outside the province, with a total amount of 11 billion VND to take care of these children. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the program has presented gifts to 1,720 children facing difficult circumstances throughout the province, along with other forms of support, totaling 2.1 billion VND.

At the event, the Organizing Committee also provided long-term support for 57 orphans affected by Covid-19, with a total amount of 580 million Vietnamese dong; and offered assistance to the program "Every compassionate heart - Fulfilling a dream" for 8 children, with a total budget of 116 million VND. On the day of attending the program of spring with underprivileged children for the 17th time in 2024, nearly 60 businesses from both within and outside the province continued to contribute to the Fund for the Support of Poor Children in Binh Duong province in 2024, with a total amount of over 3.1 billion VND and many Tet gifts.
