"Sprint" for a special competition

There are only two months left for units to complete the special emulation to celebrate the 11th Provincial Women's Congress and the 13th National Women Deputies’ Congress, tenure 2021-2026. Collectives and individuals are actively completing meaningful works and projects to contribute to the movement of the union...

This competition aims to promote the strength of great solidarity and creativity of all levels of unions and all officials, members and women in the province. As a result of this special competition throughout 2021, Standing Committee of Provincial Women's Union will praise initiatives, good practices, new models of outstanding groups and individuals.

The emulation was launched and is carried out extensively among officials, members and women with practical, effective, economical, creative and meaningful contents suitable to the situation of each locality. This is also a close combination with key topics and tasks of 2021, linking the results of emulation with rewarding and commendation work to encourage collectives, individual officials and members of women's classes to be more active in general movement of the union.

According to Truong Thanh Nga, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union, the competition was disseminated among all levels of unions from the province to the grassroots, affiliated units and all officials, members, women in the province as well as collectives and individuals voluntarily participated. Starting time is from January 10, 2021 to January 20, 2022. The conclusion iwll be held on the occasion of 1,982nd anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising and the 112th anniversary of the International Women's Day.

The works and projects responding to the emulation movement also aim at "The whole country unites and join hands to prevent, control and overcome the Covid-19 pandemic" launched by the Prime Minister; the program "Million gifts of sharing difficulties" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union. In particular, the movement focuses on social security support for women and children affected by the Covid-19; supports livelihoods, provides counseling, psychological and physiological health care by ages for vulnerable women and children. This is also a chance to provide traditional education combined with promoting the value of revolutionary historical relics, taking over works, the restoration, embellishment or provision of artifacts related to revolutionary history, the history of women's movement in localities...

Currently, districts, towns, cities and affiliated units in the province are actively carrying out registered works and tasks. Each individual responding to this special competition is also applying the movement of women actively studying, working, creating, building happy families and the campaign to train moral qualities of confidence, self-esteem, faithful, capable. All levels of WU also integrate this movement with the learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, "Building 5-no-3-clean family", building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

With the appropriate ability and conditions, after the end of the competition, each district-level union will introduce at least one excellent project of their collective and an excellent practical work of an individual to Provincial WU Standing Committee to select 110 good works, then select 11 outstanding works to participate at the central level.

Not only encapsulated in the WUs, the competition is also socialized with the participation of businesses and departments. Good ways of doing things are discovered to expend good examples for members and women to follow.

According to Truong Thanh Nga, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women’s Union, this competition focuses on implementing solutions to improve the quality of its activities; improving the quality of activities from the grassroots in the direction of innovation, creativity and promotion of information technology application. All aim to solve women's problems so that the Women's Union is truly a pioneering organization, acting for gender equality and the development of women.
