State budget revenue in province reaches over VND 71.23 trillion

On the afternoon of December 25, provincial People's Committee convened a press conference on socio-economic, national defense, and security situation for 2024. The meeting was co-chaired by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee and Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Commission.The conference was also attended by leaders from various departments, agencies and media organizations in and out of the province.

At the conference, representatives of provincial People's Committee reported that the socio-economic situation in the province showed positive development with numerous encouraging results in 2024.The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) was estimated to grow by 7.48%, with per capita GRDP reaching VND 181.2 million. The province's economic structure consisted of industry (64.93%), services (25.08%), agriculture (2.73%) and product tax minus product subsidies (7.26%).

The province’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) was estimated to increase by 7.6%, compared to a 6.1% growth in 2023. The province’s total retail sales revenue of goods and service revenue was estimated to rise by 13.3% while the province’s trade surplus was expected to reach US$10 billion. The province’s State budget revenue amounted to VND 71,234 billion, a 10% increase over the target assigned by the Prime Minister and achieving 100% of the target set by provincial People’s Council. The province also paid more attention to social welfare initiatives, ensuring thorough implementation of policies for revolutionary contributors, policy beneficiaries, people under social protection, the poor and workers on Tet and great holidays.

At the press conference, representatives from media agencies raised various concerns, including security and order before, during and after the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival; task on streamlining and restructuring provincial administrative apparatus; progress on key projects in the area; social housing projects for workers; goods supply for Tet; the province's high-tech agricultural development; policies to retain workers; healthcare support for residents…

Speaking at the conference, Mr.Ha expressed his desire to continue receiving positive contributions from media agencies across various fields in the coming period, aiming at jointly building Binh Duong into a more and more thriving  province while improving social welfare and the quality of life for local residents.
