Springtime has been around all walks of the streets in Binh Duong Province where we could see the constructions making it a round-up delight. People would be enchanted by the streets at night for the glistering lights, the decoration of apricot and cherry blossoms and the Dipterocarpus alatus – the symbol of Binh Duong homeland.
As many other years, the city streets would be decorated with lights during Christmas, New Year, and lunar New Year through the Mazu Goddess Festival. The streets have been more delight and beautiful thanks to socialized funds and sponsorship.
According to Senior Monk Thich Hue Thong, the member of Administrative Secretariat and Deputy Head Office II of Vietnam Association of Buddhism cum Head of Binh Duong Provincial Administration of Buddism, the decoration of the streets must be solemn and beautiful to hold the meaning within. The apricot and cherry blossoms are the springtime symbol of the people. The cherry blossoms of the North and the apricot blossoms of the South are holy during springtime. Hoi An Pagoda will eye fulfilled constructions of the hall, the East and West lounges will be brilliantly decorated for the lunar New Year 2016.
As a part of springtime welcom, various activities of culture and arts are held to celebrate the New Year and lunar New Year 2016. Accordingly are the activities to celebrate the success of recent all-level Party Committee Congress and the 12th National Party Congress marking 70th anniversary of the first National Assembly voting among others.
On the occasions of Tet Holiday and celebration of major festivals in 2016, delight atmosphere has been created by the socio-economic achievements to satisfy the needs of recreation of all people strata.
The celebration of major festivals of the nation will be in the manner of new organization conformed with the scale to ensure practicability, saving, and effectiveness.
The main activities are named such as shows to celebrate the New Year, marathon competition, springtime flower market fair, springtime journalism fair, firework shows celebrating Tet Holiday 2016 and recreational activities to service the public.
And, the streets in Binh Duong New City are promising to attract tourists in the days when Tet Holiday is drawing near.
