According to the report, last year in the province natural disasters were mainly due to heavy rain, tornadoes and high tides. Specifically, heavy rains and flood tides inundated houses, crops and roads. Only from the beginning of the year until now, there have been 10 natural disasters occurring in the whole province, resulting in the lack of running water for 200 households in the area. Besides, due to the impact of climate change, the weather is increasingly extreme, the weather changes the rainfall season much bigger than 2019; in the strong wind, heavy rain caused significant damage to houses, buildings and agricultural production, affecting the lives of people in some areas of the province.
In 2020, in order to take the initiative in the task of preventing and combating fire prevention and fighting, the province continues to build tasks and plans to cope with natural disaster risk levels, consolidate the Steering Committee on fire prevention and fighting-prevention and fighting at all levels; Along with that, strengthening human resources, equipment, support tools, advising and administering disaster prevention.
Concluding remarks at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Truc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, asked the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to receive comments from departments, branches and localities to comment at the conference, complete internal issues. content of the draft submission to the Provincial People's Committee for issuance and dissemination to related units for coordinating implementation.
