On May 27, in Hanoi, Ministry of National Defense and Ministry of Health held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing the coordination regulations (Coordination Regulation No. 162/QCPH-BQP-BYT dated January 9, 2015). With the strategic advisory function, the two ministries have proactively coordinated to research and propose to the Party and State many strategic policies and guidelines on military, national defense, and health; proposed to issue legal documents, leadership documents, and directives to effectively implement military and national defense tasks associated with health, and health tasks associated with military and national defense; and ensured smooth, synchronous, and unified operations.
In Binh Duong, over the past 10 years, the Provincial Military Command has closely coordinated with provincial health sector, directly Department of Health, in disease prevention and control. The two sides agreed to direct the comprehensive implementation of the military-civilian medical cooperation program in areas such as building a national defense and building the potential of the health sector; military recruitment and military enrollment.
In particular, by combining military and civilian medicine in medical examination, treatment, health care for people and implementing medical programs... the units have examined and provided free medicine to nearly 31,000 people, including policy families, households in difficult circumstances... in the province with a budget of more than 30 billion VND.
At the conference, Ministry of National Defense and Ministry of Health signed a Coordination Regulation replacing Coordination Regulation No. 162.
