Early March 7, a supervisory delegation of provincial People's Council on the situation and results of implementing policies on attracting, training, fostering human resources, led Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People's Council, had a field trip to Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted in Thu Dau Mot city.
At the survey, many issues were discussed by the delegation with the school's management board. The highlight was to strengthen connection between the schoool and departments, sectors, institutes and schools, especially the National University of Ho Chi Minh City to develop research, innovation science – technology application, thereby improving the comprehensive quality of teaching and learning.
Currently, Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted is invested in Stem room, Robocon room with modern equipment to serve requirements on scientific research. However, according to the assessment, over the past time, the school’s scientific and technical research did not achieve high efficiency. In addition, the school encountered difficulties when piloting its Vietnamese and English bilingual model. Therefore, the linkage with institutes and schools, especially when Binh Duong signed a cooperation agreement with the National University of Ho Chi Minh city, will help the school have the opportunity to improve its teaching quality and develop creative ideas into reality.
In addition, the delegation wanted the school to pay more attention to the training of teachers in terms of professional and political qualifications to ensure a source of staff planning for the local education sector. The delegation also received the school's recommendations on investing in new and synchronous equipment to train good students; supplementing teachers; adjusting a regime on rewarding students who have passed universities with high scores; amending a number of provisions in the Resolution No.07 of provincial People's Council on the support regime for civil servants and employees of specialized high schools...
Representative of the delegation said that information from the field trip will be the basis for proposing adjustments to the Resolution No.05 of provincial People's Council on attracting human resources and the Resolution No.07 of provincial People's Council on the support regime at specialized schools in the coming time.
