Up to now, most workers at province-based industrial parks and compounds have returned to work stably. Amid the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic, together with the efforts by functional agencies, the province’s police force is accompanying enterprises in proactively taking strict measures to prevent the pandemic with the goal of ensuring safety for employees ‘health and maintaining stable production and business activities.
The province is now home to 29 industrial parks and 12 industrial compounds with over 1.2 million workers returning to work after the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday. The province’s police force has coordinated with province-based Industrial Parks Management Board to focus on well doing propaganda against Covid-19 pandemic, guiding enterprises and foreigners to raise their awareness of the danger of the pandemic as well as its development to be proactive in preventing, detecting and handling infections promptly.

As noted, Vision International Co., Ltd., in VSIP I in Thuan An city now has a total of 5,000 workers. So far, nearly 100% of the company’s employees have returned to work. With a large number of workers, especially immigrant ones, the company has paid more attention to management over workers as well as Covid-19 prevention and control during and after the Tet holiday.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Van, managerial staff of the company said that the company has proactively disseminated the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health among workers, increased disinfectants, limited movement and meetings. On the first days back to work, the company also urged its employees to strictly comply with regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control; organize the collection of medical declarations among them. In addition, the company has proactively equipped thermometers, hand sanitizers for workers while spraying disinfectant to prevent Covid-19 pandemic.
Bui Cong Duc, a worker of the company said that before and after the Tet holiday, the company made a travel list of employee in order to obviously understand their travel schedule for screening as well as sending it to the local health agency if necessary.
Similarly, more than 5,000 workers of Esquel Garment Vietnam Co., Ltd. in VSIP 1 have also returned to work stably. To ensure Covid-19 prevention and control, the company has provided face masks, arranged hand washing areas with antiseptic for workers, ensured food hygiene and safety in the collective kitchen as well as arranging partitions at dining- tables to minimize contacts while checking clients ‘body temperature, giving them free face masks. Upon the above efforts, the situation of the company is very stable. The company’s employees can keep their mind in work and well comply with regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.
Nguyen Van Luong, General Director of Esquel Garment Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that workers at the company must keep distance, have no gathering for talking. Most of them must wear face masks when working and regularly wash their hands. The company has also set up a team that is responsible for checking workers ‘implementation of wearing masks properly, not gathering to talk. The company has also limited direct exchanges with clients.
Possibly seeing, province-based enterprises have well realized Covid-19 prevention and control. Especially, they have closely monitored over the travel schedule of foreign employees and immigrant ones. Along with the efforts by the local functional agencies, this will be the foundation for enterprises to stabilize production, effectively serving the local socio-economic development.
