Strengthening inspection against Covid-19 at gateways

Facing the complicated developments of Covid-19 pandemic, localities in the province have strengthened control over the pandemic, organized checkpoints at gateways and promoted supervision on the implementation of social distancing rules in accordance with the Prime Minister's Directives.

Strictly handling cases violating social distancing rules

Over the past days, localities in the province drastically and seriously implemented social distancing rules  right after provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control implemented these rules in some localities with F0 cases related to the chain of Covid-19 cases in Ho Chi Minh City.

Nguyen Thu Cuc, Chairwoman of Thu Dau Mot city’s People's Committee, Head of the city’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that the city has regularly and continuously organized supervision, especially in ensuring social distancing rules. The city’s wards such as Phu Cuong, Chanh Nghia, Hiep Thanh ... are the central areas of the city with many business and service activities, especially food services..., so they have many implicit risks about the spread of the pandemic. The city has directed and assigned responsibility to heads of the local authorities to organize forces to closely inspect and supervise, and strictly handle cases violating social distancing rules.

Previously, on June 3, Mrs. Cuc directly traveled by motorbike, suddenly inspected  eateries in some wards of the city and discovered and handled eateries violating social distancing rules while reminding leaders of the wards with eateries serving large numbers of customers, not ensuring social distancing for Covid-19 prevention and control.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Thanh Sang, Chairman of Phu Cuong ward’s People's Committee, Head of the ward’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that: "The locality has sent documents and decisions on social distancing to small traders, business households while requiring them to strictly follow with the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health for Covid-19 prevention and control. Through inspection tours, the local forces detected and fined 16 cases with VND32 million. Currently, the ward is mobilizing community-based anti-Covid-19 groups to strengthen propaganda on the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health among people while learning from experience to organize closer supervision, and strictly handling cases violating social distancing rules.

Strengthening inspection at gateways

Thu Dau Mot city, Thuan An city and Di An city are the province’s three major cities, bordering Ho Chi Minh city where many Covid-19 cases were recorded. The F0 cases in these localities are related to the chain of Covid-19 cases in Ho Chi Minh city. Thuan An city, Di An city are the areas where many workers often travel, live and work in Ho Chi Minh city. At the proposal of localities, provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has allowed them to establish checkpoints and suspend the operation of passenger ferries across the rivers for pandemic prevention and control.

Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of Tan Uyen town’s People's Committee, Head of the town’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that up to now, although the town has not recorded F0 cases yet, it is adjacent to Thuan An, Di An cities where F0 cases related to HCM city were reported. The town also borders Dong Nai province by road and waterway, so it has set up checkpoints on roads and waterways to strengthen Covid-19 prevention and control. The locality has also intensify propaganda, helping people from all strata  be not subjective, seriously and fully implement anti-Covid-19 measures.

On the afternoon of June 3, Thuan An city’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control urgently set up 3 checkpoints at Marina Tower apartment building on Vinh Phu 10 street in Vinh Phu ward right after receiving information about case F0 at the apartment building. In order to strengthen pandemic prevention-control and prevent cross infection in the apartment building, the city's Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control disinfected the entire apartment building while requesting residents in the apartment building to strictly follow the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health. Nguyen Thien Tan, Vice-Chairman of Vinh Phu ward’s People's Committee said that the ward has also contacted trade centers, supermarkets and suppliers of necessities so that they are ready to support people in the local blockade area.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Trong An, Chairman of Ben Cat town’s People's Committee, Head of the town’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that after determining the address of the F0 case related to the chain of Covid-19 cases of Ho Chi Minh city in Hoa Loi ward’s An Loi quarter, the town moved related cases to the local concentrated isolation area and immediately took samples for testing and sent them to provincial Center for Disease Prevention and Control while quickly implementing measures against the pandemic in related locations on the night of June 3rd.

Nguyen Thu Cuc, Chairwoman of Thu Dau Mot city’s People's Committee, Head of the city’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that from 7 am on June 7, the city will temporarily stop receiving dossiers and returning results at the city’s one-stop shop for Covid-19 prevention and control; suspend direct transactions to settle administrative procedures at the one-stop shops of localities in the city while switching to receiving administrative procedures online via provincial public service website at https://dichvucong. binhduong.gov.vn and postal services.
