Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee made the statement at a conference held by provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) on Jan.22 to review its activities in 2015.
The whole province last year generated jobs for 46,550 laborers, paid unemployment insurance benefits for 48,550 cases; gave vocational training to 26,084 laborers. The local sector of labor, war invalids and social affairs also built, upgraded 324 gratitude houses; visited, presented gifts to social policy beneficiaries on Tet and War Invalid-Martyrs’ Day.
Regarding poverty reduction, as of late 2015, the province had a total of 1,832 poor households or 0.64% of total and 4,017 near-poor ones or 1.4% of total; built and upgraded 122 “great unity” houses for needy people. The sector also actively took care of disadvantaged people; improved the effectiveness of task against social evils; protected and cared for children; ensured gender equality…
Addressing the conference, Mr.Hung suggested the sector to continue well taking care of social policy beneficiaries; well realize policies on social welfare, ensuring poor people and workers’ lives; promote law dissemination among employers and employees to build up a harmonious labor relation.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) awarded the certificates of merit to provincial DoLISA and 6 outstanding individuals in the 2014-2015 period. 52 other individuals also received the certificates of merit of provincial DoLISA for their excellent performance in 2015.
