After 3 summer months of being away from school, on 12 Aug, students in primary, secondary, and high schools in the province returned to school. On the first day of the new school year, the bustling, joyful atmosphere spread throughout all schools in the province.

Excitedly going back to school
According to school regulations, at 7am on 12 Aug, students were present at schools, but in fact many children went to school earlier. They laughed and told each other about their happy summer holidays. All students were in tidy uniform with carefully-prepared books for the new school year.
First-grade students were a little bit embarrassed on the first day of school, because of new school, new learning environment, and new friends. Many parents brought their children to class, and did not forget to encourage their children to be confident in the new school. Trinh Hoang Phi, a parent of first-grade student at Dinh Hoa Primary School (Thu Dau Mot City), said: “In order for my child to get acquainted with the new school, on previous days I took my son to visit school. I also went shopping with him for new books and clothes, so that he could understand the meaning of this. Therefore, on the first day, he was so excited and happy when meeting new friends".
The number of elementary students increased every year, but schools are still organized carefully in every way to receive students. At Hiep Thanh Primary School (Thu Dau Mot City), Principal Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy said, because of the large number of students, the school arranged for first-grade students to start the new school year earlier so that they could stabilize and become familiar with new learning environment. On August 14, students of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades will return to school. In this school year, the whole school has 10 first-grade classes, of which 7 classes are at campus 1 and 3 classes at campus 2. The total number of students up to now is 2,047; particularly first grades have totally 418 students. During summer holidays, the school repaired material facilities to be clean and beautiful. To serve the semi-boarding of students, thanks to the support of Education and Training Office of Thu Dau Mot City, in addition to one existing kitchen, the school also repaired their canteen to have more space for students. In rural areas, new school day atmosphere was also bustling. Students, who live close to school, holding hands went to school; those who are a little further away, rode bicycle together to school. White shirts of students were all over streets yesterday morning, making the countryside more bustling. In order for all students to return to school, there were banners such as: "Welcome the new school year 2019-2020", or "Day of all people bringing children to school". Ta Tan Tuan, Head of Dau Tieng district Education and Training Office, said that this year, the district had over 24,600 students at all levels. In order for primary school students to go to school, management boards of schools together with teachers in charge of anti-illiteracy – universalization of education advised local party committees and authorities to survey and encourage children to school. On the first day of new school year school, most of students went to school.
To get into order
Right from the first day of new school year, schools put everything into order. Primary schools in the following areas: Thuan An town, Di An town, Thu Dau Mot city, had high number of students in each class, but these schools also quickly stabilized classes.
Binh Chuan Primary School (Thuan An town), this year, has 76 classes, 47 students per class on average, but order was guaranteed. Principal Nguyen Thanh Nhan said, due to the large number of students, the school gathered students of first grades on 8 Aug for students to get acquainted with teachers, arrange seats for students, vote class staff. This is one of the localities with the majority of students being workers’ children. From the beginning of new school year, the school surveyed the number of students having difficult circumstances to have timely support of books, school supplies, and scholarships for students. In this school year, the school continues to implement the motto: Real innovation, enhanced effectiveness. Accordingly, the school will increase experimental activities for students in order to develop emotions, morals, and capability for students; encourage students' initiative and creativity in learning.
Schools also set out tasks to be done in the new school year in accordance with the conditions of each school. Principal Vo Van Tho of Nguyen Viet Xuan secondary school said that in the new school year, the school assigned appropriate class teachers, experienced teachers were assigned to first and last grades. The school will also soon teach more lessons, classify students to have a plan for tutoring weak and good students.
High schools also set goals for the new school year. Principal Pham Nguyen Thanh Tuan of Binh An High School (Di An town) said, the school year 2019-2020, the school strived for 100% students to graduate, over 85% students to be admitted to universities – colleges, and maintain achievements of students at competitions on culture - arts, sports...
