Students enthusiastically return to school following the Tet holiday

Following the extended Lunar New Year holiday, commencing on February 3 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), students across all educational levels in the province are enthusiastically returning to school. Eagerness, excitement, and joy characterize the sentiments of students as they resume their studies.

Following the New Year's festivities, schools have resumed their educational activities.

Numerous activities at the start of the year

From the early hours of February 3, schools in the province meticulously prepared to welcome students back after the nine-day Tet holiday. Parents escorted their children to school to commence the first class of the term. On this inaugural day following the Tet holiday, schools conducted flag-raising ceremonies at the week's outset, alongside spring opening activities designed to motivate both teachers and students.

At Tran Phu Primary School in Thu Dau Mot City, the inaugural class of the new year featured a variety of joyful and engaging activities, including New Year greetings, the distribution of lucky money, and student awards.

Meanwhile, at Hai Au 2 Kindergarten in Thuan An City, teachers greeted students at the school gate from early morning, presenting them with lucky money. According to the school administration, prior to the students' return, the institution conducted thorough cleaning of classrooms and the school grounds. Furthermore, the school meticulously assessed its facilities to ensure the provision of safe meals, thereby guaranteeing nutritional standards on the students' first day back.

Due to developmental characteristics, the transition back to school for preschool children following the holiday appears to be particularly challenging. Ms. Cao Thuy Hang, a resident of Binh Chuan Ward in Thuan An City, remarked, “Both of my children are of preschool age. During the Tet holiday, our family's daily routine was disrupted, resulting in the children not arriving at school on time this morning and exhibiting some reluctance. However, upon their arrival, the teachers greeted them warmly and encouraged their participation in school activities, allowing the children to quickly re-engage and regain their enthusiasm. Observing this, we felt reassured to proceed with our work.”

In the same spirit of preparing for the new semester on the first day of the year, numerous students in the province returned to school with a joyful atmosphere, eager to reunite with friends after Tet and extend New Year wishes to their teachers.

Prepared to resume learning

According to records, on February 2 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), schools in the province conducted cleaning, sanitizing, and assessments of facilities and human resources to prepare for the return of students. From the very first class, schools proactively devised plans to help students stabilize and resume their studies immediately following the Tet holiday.

At Tan Dinh Primary School in Ben Cat City, the atmosphere during the inaugural class of the new academic year was filled with joy and numerous activities. Ms. Vu Thi Hong Hoa, the principal, emphasized that, as in previous years, ensuring optimal conditions for students' return is a primary focus for the school. The day prior, the institution convened a spring meeting to outline tasks for all staff, teachers, and employees. Notably, it was highlighted that homeroom teachers must assess the circumstances of students returning to class after an extended break, thereby implementing appropriate measures to promptly address any issues and support those who have not yet returned.

At Vinh Hoa Secondary School in Phu Giao District, 718 out of 845 students attended on the first day of the academic year. Mr. Pham Van Gioi, the school's Principal, stated that following the heartfelt New Year greetings, the institution promptly restored order and organized teaching and learning activities for the second semester in accordance with the established plan. From the very first class of the year, all students adhered to the official schedule.

The prevailing observation is that the majority of students exhibit excitement and enthusiasm on the first day back to school following the Tet holiday. During the initial week of the new academic year, schools implement strategies to promptly stabilize students' learning routines while ensuring the curriculum for the second semester and the entire academic year. The Department of Education and Training mandates that institutions and schools enhance student management during this period and swiftly restore the living and learning routines post-Tet holiday.

Promptly restore teaching and learning activities following the Tet holiday.

Prior to the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025, the education sector has instructed schools to meticulously prepare all necessary conditions for the return of students following Tet. Schools are also proactively communicating and guiding teachers and students to promptly resume teaching and learning activities after the Tet holiday in accordance with the established schedule.

During the Tet holiday, schools took proactive measures to safeguard property while simultaneously organizing New Year greetings, visits, and gifts to support cadres, teachers, employees, and students facing particularly challenging circumstances.
