Students getting back to schools on August 28 for school starting on September 5

Binh Duong provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 2031/QD-UBND on the 2023-2024 school year plan for preschools, general education and continuing education in the province. Accordingly, preschools, primary schools, junior high schools, and continuing education institutions will return to school on August 28, 2023. Primary, secondary, high school and continuing education institutions hold their opening ceremony on September 5 when preschool educational institutions will hold a school day.

The end of the school year of primary, secondary, high school and continuing education in the year of 2023-2024 will be from May 27 to May 31, 2024. The consideration and recognition of completion of the primary program and the recognition of secondary school graduation will be before June 30, 2024. Enrollment for the first classes of the school year 2024-2025 in the province will be completed before July 31, 2024. High school graduation exams and national exams according to regulations and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training. Public holidays and New Year's holidays are complied with the provisions of the Labor Law and annual guiding documents. The provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Education and Training to report to the Ministry of Education and Training and the provincial People's Committee on the preparation for the new school year and the opening ceremonies before September 10, 2023. The preliminary review of the first semester will be before January 31, 2024 whil the school year is summed up and reported on the results of the implementation of emulation criteria and propose to consider and reward the school year before June 25, 2024.

The Department of Education and Training shall report to the Ministry of Education and Training on the decision of the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee on the time frame of the school year 2023-2024, the time of school leave and the length of the school year in special cases (if any).
