Summer has passed, however, the footprints of young volunteers are still marking on the roads and constructions they leave behind as a seed of life growing in each of the volunteers.Summer yieldIt can be confirmed that the volunteer summer of 2012 of the Youth League members under block of agencies has been a success with more and more contribution to the society and community. Under the motto of “the youth joining hands in constructing new rural area”, the members have spread out to communes being constructed as new rural areas including An Binh and Tam Lap of Phu Giao District, Tan Long Commune of Phu Giao District, Phuoc Tin Commune of Phuoc Long in Binh Phuoc Province. Volunteers give out left-lets to local people of An Binh Commune of Phu Giao District As a result, the volunteers have organized 2 stages of health-checking and free medicine offerings to 380 poor people in the localities at the cost of nearly VND 45 million together with gratitude activities and gift visits to socially privileged households offering 3,000 books and notebooks to poor school children. Meanwhile, local farmers have been supported with consultancy on laws, agricultural techniques, and health protection.To give is to receiveThen, what has promote the young volunteers so much in summer campaign? It’s the desire to be helpful and devote to the society and community. “It’s an impressive summer with meaningful constructions beyond our expectations,” asserted Secretary of Nong Lam School Youth’s League Nguyen Ba Bien.Fifteen days were not much to work out all the projects; however, they did the good job by promoting children to school, art performances calling for donation of VND 119 million, giving 5 computers to Phuoc Tin Commune Youth’s League, planting 300 green trees at monuments, offering books and notebooks to school children.“We grew up through those days.
