Early May 13, Ben Cat city’s Labor Union held a launching ceremony for the Workers’ Month under the theme of “Vietnamese workers pioneering into the new era”; the “Action Month on Occupational Safety and Hygiene” with the theme of “Enhancing risk identification and assessment and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety, hygiene and fire prevention in workplace” and the movement of “Digital Literacy for All”. The event was attended by Ong Thuy Hoang Mai, Vice Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union.

The Workers’ Month is an opportunity for all-level authorities, sectors and society as a whole to express care and practical support for workers in both material and spiritual aspects. In Ben Cat city, the Workers’ Month always receives strong attention from Party committees, authorities, employers and enthusiastic participation from trade unionists, workers, public employees and laborers. All-level trade unions, sectors and enterprises have implemented numerous meaningful activities to comprehensively support workers in terms of material and spiritual needs, safe working environments and health protection. Thousands of disadvantaged workers have received visits and support. In addition, the conference also launched the movement of “Digital Literacy for All” with the goal of “eliminating digital illiteracy nationwide in the digital era” among people from all strata under the motto of “"go to every alley, to every house, guide every person" with the action orientation of “Rapid Deployment – Broad Connectivity – Smart Application”.
On this occasion, the city’s Labor Union presented 110 gifts worth VND 1 million each to trade unionists and workers with difficult circumstances.
