The Covid-19 pandemic has caused many children to lose their parents and fall into helpless situations. The Government, ministries, sectors and localities have also had many solutions to support children affected by the pandemic, helping them alleviate difficulties and partially compensating their great pains.
As a locality heavily affected by the 4th Covid-19 wave, along with to its efforts to perform the "dual tasks" of production, business recovery, effective control of the pandemic, Binh Duong has had many timely support programs for children who have lost their parents, due to Covid-19. Particularly, the program "Connecting the arms of love" awarded scholarships worth millions of dong to children orphaned, due to Covid-19 pandemic, with difficult circumstances in the province. The program "Godmother" was also organized by provincial Women's Union and Association of Women Entrepreneurs to take care of disadvantaged and orphaned children with the spirit of giving all nice things for children and not letting any children miss school because of Covid-19. In addition, provincial Women's Union cooperated with Thien Tam Fund to give support for orphans. Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also mobilized organizations, individuals to take care of orphans, due to Covid-19 pandemic with the policy of leaving no one behind during the pandemic; researched support policies while mobilizing social and educational organizations to take care of the learning of children orphaned, due to the pandemic.
Recently, provincial Labor Union has donated saving books worth between VND10million and VND20million each to children who have lost either their fathers or mothers, or both parents, due to Covid-19. These saving books will be opened at the bank and these children will receive them when being aged 18. They will be the luggage for these children to take their first steps into life... And, many other support programs and plans have been organized by all-level authorities, mass organizations to take better care of children orphaned, due to Covid-19...
Orphaned children suffer many disadvantages in all aspects. Therefore, in addition to material support, all-level authorities and sectors of the province always pay attention to taking care of them in terms of psychology, promptly encouraging, treating and assist these children to overcome these painful days, getting the motivation for a brighter future.
