Bo De Center for Orphans at Binh Chuan ward of Thuan An town gave Tet presents for street children. Patrons organized this activity with a hope that they can bring warmth and sweetness to difficult children…
It was just a little bit after 16 o’clock that was not the time for giving presents, but Bo De Center for Orphans was crowded with children, who came for the 6th “Beloved spring” program. Apart from 50 orphans of this center, the organizer prepared 500 presents worth VND 200,000 each for street, lottery-tickets selling children, and children of poor labor households. Thich nu Tu Thao nun, who is the head of Bo De pagoda and also manager of the center, said: “Tet is an occasion of gathering together, receiving new clothes, red envelopes and eating delicious food. But these seem to be unfeasible for poor children. Therefore, we have determined to organize the “Beloved spring” program for 6 years. I was so thankful for the contribution of many patrons to this activity”…
Ms. Tran Thi Ngoan, who is 73 years old and attended this program with her grandchild, told: “Used to live in Binh Phuoc province, because of difficulty we had to move to Binh Duong. Now we live in a rent room, have difficulties in making money, so that we cannot buy anything to prepare for Tet. This present of the center helps us a lot!”
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan bringing her 10-year-old son to the activity shared that she had divorced her husband and now lived with her son at Binh Chuan ward of Thuan An town. Her earning monthly was just over 2 million VND, so that it is very difficult for her to bring up her son. Thus this present shared her worrying for the Tet holidays.
