Taking care of poor pupils during Tet

These days, authorities at all levels of the province visited and presented Tet gifts to the poor. Province-based schools have also mobilized donors to give gifts for poor pupils, helping them welcome a warm and joyful Tet.

Early February 11, Minh Thanh primary school in Dau Tieng district presented 42 Tet gifts to poor pupils. Each gift is worth VND150,000, including confectionary, sugar, seasoning powder…According to school principal Do Tan Nhan, these small gifts will be seen as an encouragement for poor pupils to enjoy Tet.

Phu Hoa secondary school in TDM city presenting Tet gifts to pupils with difficult circumstances

Whilst, Vinh Hoa secondary school in Phu Giao district has also just donated Tet gifts to 110 pupils with difficult circumstances. These gifts came from the “Spring tree” fund raised by pupils at the school. School principal Nguyen Van Su said: “Through the activity, we want to educate pupils about patriotism and help them know to live for others”.

Noticeably, under the fine tradition of “mutual love and mutual affection”, a female teacher at Phu Hoa secondary school in TDM city and her family members have presented 20 Tet gifts worth VND4mln to the school’s poor pupils.

Province-based universities have also paid attention to taking care of poor students on Tet. Thu Dau Mot University has given 70 gifts worth VND200,000 each for students with difficult circumstances. Yesterday morning, provincial Students Association also presented gifts to 35 students who are not able to return home for Tet.

In addition, the school’s Youth Union held delegations to visit and offer help to policy beneficiary families in Phu Giao, Dau Tieng districts and Thuan An town. This will contribute to training lifestyle skills among the school’s students and helping them live more responsibly.

Binh Duong University has also just held the 2015 “Spring with love” program in a bid to take care of students on Tet. The program partially shared difficulties with students living away from home. Along with provincial Students Association, the school’s pupils made 100 tet (cylindric glutinous rice) cakes for students who are not able to return home for Tet, Lao students and children at Que Huong Charity Center.

Tran Hieu, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Education and Training said that province-based schools have made efforts in taking care of pupils and students on Tet via many significant activities. With the efforts by the whole society, pupils and students with difficult circumstances will enjoy a joyful and happy Tet.
