In 2020, Covid-19 pandemic affected the economic development of the whole country in general and of Binh Duong in particular. Accordingly, many trade unionists and laborers faced difficulties, due to joblessness and income reduced. Hence, trade unions at all levels of the province will pay more attention to taking care of laborers ‘spiritual and material lives on the Tet festival 2021. Provincial Labor Union has also made a plan giving care to trade unionists and laborers on the Tet festival 2021 under the theme of “Gathering in Tet holiday-Connecting love”…
What will trade unions at all levels of the province do to take Tet care of laborers and trade unionists?
According to the plan, we will mobilize all social resources to well organize activities taking Tet care of laborers and trade unionists. Trade unions at all levels of the province will diversify activities taking Tet care of laborers and trade unionists; focus on organizing practical activities at industrial parks, enterprises and model lodging facilities…All must be organized practically, effectively and economically, creating pervasion and consensus among trade unionists, laborers and business community.
Trade unions at all levels of the province will attach special importance to giving Tet care to trade unionists and laborers with extremely difficult circumstances, those seriously hit by workplace accidents, occupational diseases or affected by Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters. They will also give priority to trade unionists and laborers belonging to policy beneficiary families or not being able to return home to celebrate Tet with their families for many years.
Further organizing “Sentimental spring bus” program
This year, what are provincial Labor Union’s activities taking Tet care of laborers and trade unionists?
Trade unions at all levels of the province will oversee employers ‘implementation of Tet plans and other welfare policies for laborers. They will also coordinate with the local administration and businesses to visit, offer gifts to policy beneficiary families, trade unionists and laborers with extremely difficult circumstances, those seriously hit by workplace accidents, occupational diseases or affected by Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters…with the maximum subsidy of VND500,000 per person.
Especially, the province will further organize a “sentimental spring bus” program for needy trade unionists and laborers to return home for Tet. Trade unions at all levels of the province will also mobilize businesses and partners to give free train, bus tickets for trade unionists and laborers to return for Tet; mobilize employers to further organize bus trips taking laborers and trade unionists to their hometowns for Tet; hold “Gathering in Tet holiday” activities and art performances for laborers, trade unionists before, during and after the Tet festival 2021…
Trade unions at all levels will also be proactive to propose trade union welfare policies with partners to implement preferential programs on product prices and services during the Tet festival 2021; mobilize businesses trading in essential commodities, food, clothes, recreational services…to organize sale-off booths for trade unionists, laborers; support gifts for laborers, trade unionists with difficult circumstances…
