Taking good care of revolutionary contributors ‘health

Upholding the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, “Paying debt of gratitude”, the province’s healthcare sector has well realized priority policies for policy beneficiaries, revolutionary contributors when being treated at health facilities.

Giving home healthcare to revolutionary contributors

Bau Bang district’s Young Physicians ‘Club has given home healthcare for policy beneficiaries under the model of “Compassionate hand” and “Compassionate bus-Journey for the community’s health”. Over the past five years, the model provided free medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for patients, including disadvantaged people and policy beneficiaries, with the annual expense of more than VND400million.

Units and localities in the province have also coordinated with hospitals, donors to give more regular healthcare to  revolutionary contributors. Ben Cat town now has many policy beneficiaries enjoying monthly allowances. Over the past years, the town’s Health Center also provided revolutionary contributors with home healthcare. Doctor Nguyen Hong Thai, Director of the town’s Health Center said that the activity aimed to paid tribute to revolutionary contributors, giving better healthcare to them. In the coming time, the town’s Health Center will further coordinate with the wards, communes and townships’ health stations to maintain home healthcare for revolutionary contributors.

Caring for revolutionary contributors ‘health

The whole province now has a total of nearly 52,000 policy beneficiaries. The province’s annual State budget payment for health insurance in medical examination and treatment for revolutionary contributors and their families amounts to hundreds of billions of dong. So far, 100% of the local revolutionary contributors and their relatives with difficult circumstances have been granted health insurance cards, enjoyed care for convalesce from State budget…

Dau Tieng district’s Health Center has just coordinated with the local War Veterans ‘Association to provide medical check-up, medicine and gifts for wounded, sick soldiers and revolutionary contributors. Doctor Bui Cong Chien, Director of the district’s Health Center said that along with priority policies as stipulated, the center now provides wounded, sick soldiers and heroic Vietnamese mothers with free room services. Especially, the center’s physicians will also give home healthcare to elderly revolutionary contributors or those with poor health.

Le Minh Quoc Cuong, Director of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that over the past years, taking care of revolutionary contributors ‘health is of great socio-economic significance for the province, contributing to ensuring the local social welfare. One of the province’s highlights over the past time was that the spiritual and material lives of revolutionary contributors received much attention from the society, contributing to stabilizing politics, promoting the local industrialization and modernization cause…
