In the afternoon of Nov. 5, Doan Van Dong, chairman of Phu Giao district People’s Committee cum head of Phu Giao district steering board of the movement of “All people unite to build a cultural life” and members of the district steering board inspected results of implementing the 2014 movement of “All people unite to build a cultural life” in Tan Hiep commune.
In this year, implementing the movement of “All people unite to build a cultural life”, Tan Hiep commune steering board launched the movement across 100% of hamlets and households.
As a result, local people and Party, authority newly built 6 concrete routes with the total length of 3km worth nearly VND6bil. Of this, local people contributed more than 46,000sqm of land with the total value of more than VND2bil and VND260mil in cash.
In addition, local residents positively responded and well implemented the mobilizations of “uniting to build a healthy life and promoting the national cultural identity, taking care of educational and healthcare cause, implementing family planning”; “uniting to build clean and beautiful environmental landscape”.
Through a year-end assessment, the entire commune had 6 out of 6 cultural hamlets, reaching a 100% rate. Of these, there were 2 cultural hamlets in consecutive years, 1,011/1,066 cultural households, accounting for 94.8%, 68 of which won cultural families in 3 consecutive years.
Hoang Quoc Huong, chairman of Phu Giao district Fatherland Front Committee cum vice head of the steering board of the movement of “All people unite to build a cultural life” recognized Tan Hiep commune’s achievements in 2014 and asked the commune steering board to improve shortcomings of the movement.
