On the evening of March 29, Tan Uyen city’s Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee held a ceremony to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Tan Uyen town (now being a city) (April 1, 2014 - April 1, 2024) and received the first-class Labor Medal.

After 10 years of establishment, the city's economic structure has shifted in the right direction with the proportion of industry and construction on increase; the proportion of agriculture, forestry and fisheries on gradual decrease, the proportion of trade and services on yearly increase. In 2023, the proportions of industry - services - agriculture were 62.3% - 36.61% - 1.09%, respectively. The city’s total value of economic sectors was more than VND 59.92 trillion, 3.2 times higher than that of 2014. Over the past years, Tan Uyen city took the lead in the province’s cause of modernization and industrialization.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dung affirmed: “Over the past 10 years, Tan Uyen achieved many important achievements and was awarded the first-class Labor Medal by the State. To build Tan Uyen into a more and more civilized and modern city, Mr. Dung suggested Tan Uyen city to focus on promoting socio-economic development and improving people's lives; enhancing the application of science - high technology, green technology, clean technology, developing digital economy, green economy; especially pay special attention to resource management and environmental protection...”.
On this occasion, the Party Committee, government and people of Tan Uyen city received the first-class Labor Medal for their outstanding achievements in the process of developing industry, trade, services and urban areas, contributing to the cause of national construction and protection. There were 3 collectives and 7 individuals receiving the certificates of merit from the Prime Minister for their achievements between 2018 and 2022, contributing to the cause of building socialism and protecting the Fatherland.
Provincial Red Cross Society awarded 50 scholarships worth VND3million each scholarship to the city's poor-but-excellent students. Tan Uyen city also mobilized organizations and individuals to award gifts worth VND 500,000 each to these students. It is known that the above scholarships are among 99 scholarships worth VND1.18 billion, committed by provincial Red Cross Society and Tan Uyen city to award the local poor students in the 2023-2024 school year.
