The Government’s Prime Minister has just signed a decision recognizing Tan Uyen town as a locality with completion of the new rural construction program in 2016. Provincial People’s Committee is responsible for honoring the town for its good performance in this field as stipulated while continuing conducting it to effectively realize a Project on improving the quality of criteria of the program for the 2016-2020 period.
After five years of implementing the program, the town has made a lot of obvious changes. Particularly, the average income per capita of locals in 6 new rural communes of the town in 2016 was VND39.65million. The whole town has so far had 58 rural roads upgraded and built with a total length of 84 kilometers and a total cost of more than VND55billion. The town’s irrigation system has also been upgraded, facilitating locals’ production development. There have been 100% of the local households in use of clean water and national power grid.
