Since making acceleration of “Studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings”, the campaign of “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address” in Tan Uyen town has been pervasive and reached in-depth development. The town’s Red Cross Society has also become a bridge connecting donors with disadvantaged people.
Tan Uyen town’s Red Cross Society has rechecked and made a list of poor, policy beneficiary families, orphans and those who have extremely difficult circumstances for timely support. The society has also boosted propaganda work about the goal and significance of the “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address” campaign among locals. During the process of implementing the campaign, the society has been proactive in contacting units, enterprises, mass organizations and donors to organize support activities for needy people.

Along with realizing the “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address” campaign, since early this year, the town’s Red Cross Society has launched a lot of practical and effective emulation movements. Under the model of “Awarding scholarships to poor pupils”, the society has mobilized 478 scholarships and 14 bicycles for pupils with difficult circumstances. The society’s “Kitchen of love” model has continued being maintained on the monthly lunar 15th and 30th days at the town’s Health Center, offering help to patients at the center.
So far, the society’s model of “Members helping each other in economic development” has been maintained via many forms with 1,076 participants, offering help of more than VND600billion to 666 officials and members. The society has also supported more than VND600million for funerals of poor families…
Nguyen Thi Phuong, Chairwoman of Tan Uyen town’s Red Cross Society said that the society will further promote the campaign of “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address” to uphold the spirit of “mutual love, mutual affection” in the community, sharing difficulties with those who have extremely difficult circumstances and helping them rise up in life. Accordingly, the society will draw up a list of people in need of help, attach special importance to widely multiplying humanitarian models…, bringing the campaign to a new development step.
Together with the “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address” campaign, the town’s Red Cross Society has implemented a plan on mobilizing organizations and individuals to support for the “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims” program. Since early this year, the society and its branches have mobilized 5,553 gifts worth more than VND1.6billion from organizations and individuals. Most activities and movements organized by the society have actually stuck to people in need of help, bringing them love, warmness and great encouragement so that they can surmount difficulties and rise up in life.
