Tan Uyen town’s Farmers Association, on September 6, held its 7th conference for good farmers in business and production in the period of 2012 and 2014.
During the period, the whole district had 12,099 out of 15,189 households registering to take part in the emulation movement of “Good farmers in production and business” or 79% of total. As a result, there were 31, 274, 864 and 5,409 households winning the title of good farmers at central, provincial, town and grassroots levels.
The town’s Farmers Association also took initiative in teaming up with relevant agencies to organize training courses on sci-tech advancements in cultivation and animal husbandry for members. The emulation movement of “Good farmers in production and business” also had positive impacts on the development of the association. The whole town now has a total of 12 farmers’ associations with 70 branches, 218 groups, 11 farmers’ clubs and 2 population clubs. Especially, the town’s Farmers Support Fund during the period provided 191 households with more than VND746mln in loan for economic development…
In the coming time, the town’s Farmers Association will further boost the emulation movement of “Good farmers in business and production” to successfully realize the Resolution of Party Congresses at all levels; take full advantage of strong points to promote production models to raise members’ lives; actively get involved in the local socio-economic development…
On this occasion, 2 collectives and 11 individuals were honored by the town’s Farmers Association. 8 collectives and 36 individuals were also awarded the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee for their good performance in the emulation movement of “Good farmers in production and business” in the period of 2012 and 2014.
