On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnamese People's Army (December 22, 1944 to December 22, 2021), the youth of Tan Uyen Town expressed gratitude to their father's predecessors through meaningful activities and uphold the spirit of youths to honor the merits and commemorate the heroes and martyrs.

Carrying on the tradition
On the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Vietnamese People's Army, Tan Uyen town Youth’s League organized for students and youth union members of Huynh Van Nghe High School to visit the local Martyrs' Cemetery with clean and place vases of fresh flowers on the graves of heroes and martyrs. In the open space of the cemetery, with gratitude, respect and emotion at the sacrifice and youth dedication to the country of heroes and martyrs, they put each vase of flowers on each grave.
Mr. Nguyen Le Huu Bao, Secretary of Tan Uyen town Youth’s League, said that the youths of Tan Uyen town were extremely touched, proud and deeply grateful for the great merits and sacrifices of the heroes and martyrs. Today's young generation would like to dedicate their hearts to eternal gratitude to heroes and martyrs. The Youth’s League of Tan Uyen town today vow to unite to promote the revolutionary tradition of their fathers and volunteers in all fields to contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congress of Tan Uyen town for the 12th tenure of 2020-2025.
Following in the footsteps of the heroic Vietnamese people's army along with other youth groups, the Youth’s League organizations in the town's armed forces will strive 100% to do a good job of propagating history and traditions and conduct the offensive to successfully carry out the political tasks of the agencies and units with a focus on high readiness; to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the study and practice of President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style.
In addition, the youth armed forces of the town have actively carried out the campaign of "promoting tradition and dedicating talents to be worthy of President Ho Chi Minh’s army" and the special emulation movement of army ogether with the whole country in unity to emulate the prevention, control of the COVID-19 pandemic. 100% of the Military Union organizations have still registered to undertake and effectively perform at least 1 project towards the successful implementation of the unit's political tasks and participation in socio-economic development and solving environmental problems in the locality.
Practical gratitude
Gratitude to heroes and martyrs is a regular action of young people today and in the future. It represents the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source" of the young generation who were born in peace and independence, and the feelings of respect and gratitude for the fallen heroes and martyrs sacrificing for the country, for the independence and for freedom of the homeland. Having been deeply aware of the responsibility and obligation of eternal gratitude, the Standing Committee of Tan Uyen town together with the Youth Union of agencies, businesses, and schools visited and gave gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers in the town. The delegation visited and expressed gratitude and affection of the young generation of Tan Uyen to Vietnamese heroic mothers, whose husbands and children had sacrificed themselves in the two wars of resistance against France and the United States to save the country.
Coming to Thanh Hoi commune, everyone will remember the hero of the people's armed forces - Tran Cong An, the son of Rua Islet, the precedessor of the Vietnamese special forces. On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnamese People's Army, the Thanh Hoi Commune Youth’s Leauge organized for the youth union members to clean the steles and to register the commune's martyrs while visiting and offering incense at Colonel Tran Cong An's grave.
Adjacent to Thanh Hoi commune is Thanh Phuoc ward, which is also a heroic land marked with the imprint of his father in the past. The task of today's people is to serve and well implement the gratitude movement, Thanh Phuoc ward has coordinated with the Youth’s League of the town People's Committee and benefactors to visit, wish and give gifts with a total amount of VND 5 million toMrs. Nguyen Thi Mung in Cay Da quarter of a family of social policies and having merits to the revolution. Not only on holidays and New Year but also monthly, the Youth’s League of the town's People's Committee also visit the old man to check on his health and give gifts to him.
More meaningfully, the funding for gift giving was donated by the Youth Union's members with the desire to send young people's hearts to gratitude to families with meritorious services for national peace. This is also a practical job in educating union members and young people to remember and forever be grateful to their father's generation; at the same time, know how to care and share with the community that have difficult and unhappy situations in life.
