Focusing on sources
The local farmstead economy now becomes an advantage with 195 farmsteads of rubber, orchards, animal husbandry, contributing to improve local residents’ life. At present, services for agriculture in the district have been under development, supporting for local economic development.
With such changes, local agricultural production value has increased sharply, improving local rural people’s material and spiritual life. In the first half of this year, local agro-forestry and aquatic product production value was at VND448.2bil, a 3.97% rise from the same period last year.
With such basic premises, the district has advantages for building new rural areas. The locality now has 9 communes selected for new rural building program. They include Tan Dinh, Lac An, Bach Dang, Tan My, Binh My, Hoi Nghia, Phu Chanh, Tan Vinh Hiep and Thanh Hoi. Since the start of this year, Tan Uyen has set up a district steering board of new rural building and communal management board of new rural building.
In addition, the district has steered communes to combine new rural building program with socio-economic development to create a synchronous growth.
The district has paid attention to promulgations at select communes to raise local people’s awareness for the program.
Perfecting goals
Pham Van Hoang, chairman of the Bach Dang communal People’s Committee, said “During 10 years of implementing new rural building program, the communal infrastructure facility has been improved. The commune will strive to perfect its remaining goals in 2012”.
Bui Thi Ly, vice head of the district steering board of new rural building, said “new rural building is a crucial task for selected localities. In the coming time, the district will keep implementing plans, promulgating the program to local residents”.
