Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union has focused on making dissemination of information about the Traffic Safety Year and organizing education activities to raise awareness of the execution of the Law on Road Traffic among pupils and youths, especially young workers.

hands with provincial Youth Union to launch the Traffic Safety Year. Nearly
1,000 local youths participated in a parade propagandizing the Traffic Safety
Year and implemented the campaign of “Green Sunday” on streets self-managed by them.
Dinh Quoc Phu, vice-secretary of the district’s Youth Union said: “This year, the district’s Youth Union will organize extra-classes on traffic culture for pupils at the district-based high schools. The cultural traffic festive day for youths will also take place with many significant activities…”.

Each Youth Union sticking to a youth work
The district’s Youth Union has instructed its affiliates to register for implementation of the Traffic Safety Year and set up “streets self-managed by youth”; acted as an advisor for the district’s Steering Board for Traffic Safety to solve problems relating to traffic safety.
All 22 communes and townships in Tan Uyen district have so far established voluntary youth squads on traffic order and safety maintenance and realized “streets self-managed by youth”.
Nguyen Kim Phung, Uyen Hung township’s Youth Union said that the local Youth Union now has a voluntary youth squad on traffic order and safety maintenance with 16 members. It has participated in keeping traffic order and safety at Uyen Hung primary school and Le Thi Trung junior high school…
In response to the Traffic Safety Year and the campaign “Youths with traffic culture”, Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union has contributed to creating a strong change in awareness and action of youths about traffic safety.
