Information Office were removing advertising hoardings on Binh Duong
AvenueIn recent year, urban beauty preserving task has faced difficulties, because of spreading of illegal advertising hoardings. The most prominent issue is that sticking, spraying advertisements on poles, walls, public places cause sleaziness and dirtiness. Because of high advertising needs, people want to show biggest and even illegal hoardings. Furthermore, businesses are placing hoardings in suburbs, highways, or residential areas. Most of these hoardings are very big, thus they can endanger local people in bad weather. TDM City People’s Committee directed Culture – Information Office to remove improper advertising hoardings. Accordingly, from September 17th to December 11th, this program has 4 stages. Each stage will be carry out in every month at communes and wards. On September 17th, the first launching has begun at Hiep Thanh ward’s People’s Committee with participation of many Youth Union’s members of Hiep Thanh ward, Phu Cuong ward, Chanh My commune. As a result, Hiep Thanh ward removed one big hoarding, 5 signboards, 6 banners, 215 unauthorized hoardings; Phu Cuong ward: 2 banners, 35 hoardings; Chanh My commune: 70 hoardings.Chief inspector of provincial Culture, Sport and Tourism Department Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep said, most of people were aware of joining hands to develop urban civilization through practical actions, like: disposing garbage, waste water at right places; preserving environmental hygiene; behaving politely… However, there are still some people delivering flyers, sticking advertisement, ignoring interests of the community.Head of Culture, Sport & Tourism Department Mr. Nguyen Van Loc said: “Constructing a clean, beautiful TDM City is not only the responsibility of agencies but also joining hands of the whole community”. “Right after the launching of TDM City Culture – Information Office, coordination and cooperation between localities, agencies and sectors are necessary to propagandize, persuade people to improve consciousness of law compliance, environmental hygiene preserving, cultural lifestyle practicing of not throwing garbage disorderly, not placing advertisement illegally”.“In addition, the Department is also completing outdoor advertising hoardings and regulating tightly advertising places to serve advertising demand of individuals, organizations”, said Mr. Loc.A civilized, modern TDM City is being constructed.
