On May 13, Thu Dau Mot (TDM) City Party Committee held a meeting to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); summarize 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo (12th tenure) on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle (referred to as Directive 05) in conjunction with commending and rewarding outstanding collectives and individuals. At the meeting, delegates reviewed the life, revolutionary career and great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people. In recent times, emulation movements in studying and following Uncle Ho in Thu Dau Mot City have become increasingly high-quality, in-depth and have had a widespread influence among cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers. There are many models that have been built with practical effectiveness, notably the model "Morning coffee - exchanging with the people" which has been honored as one of the 7 typical, nationwide models in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
At the program, Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee awarded 45-year, 40-year and 30-year Party seniority badges to 8 party members working at Party cells under the City Party Committee; commended and rewarded 37 collectives and 78 individuals who are outstanding in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the period of 2016-2025. On this occasion, Thu Dau Mot City awarded 135 scholarships worth 1 million VND each and 10 bicycles valued at 1.5 million VND each to disadvantaged students who are striving to excel in their studies for the 2024-2025 school year.
