On January 11, Thu Dau Mot city’s Red Cross Society organized a conference to review its activities in 2023, set out orientations and tasks for 2024.
In 2023, the city’s Red Cross Society deployed and replicated effective models, including the club of volunteers, building and repairing “Red Cross” houses, helping each other in homebased economic development, voluntary blood donation, "Tet of Kindness" program, "Zero-dong” market-day, "Zero-dong” kitchen", the campaign of "Each organization, each individual is associated with an address humanitarian", unexpected subsidies, the movement of raising savings piggy banks... The total value of social work during the year at all-level Red Cross Societies in the province was more than VND 19.3 billion, helping 311,632 people...
On this occasion, provincial Red Cross Society awarded the certificates of merit to 15 groups and 15 individuals. The city’s People's Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 18 groups and 11 individuals. The city’s Red Cross Association also rewarded 30 collectives and 50 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the association and the Red Cross movement; paid tribute to organizations and donors who made many contributions to the local volunteer work last year.
