Reportedly, the city’s economy in 2014 remained good with total value of trade and services reaching VND50.37trillion, up over 30.6% compared to last year’s same period and or 100.3% of the yearly plan. Industrial production value obtained nearly VND12.05trillion, up 20% against last year’s corresponding period or 103.5% of the yearly plan. Agricultural production value also grew by 0.9% compared to the same period last year. State budget collection was estimated at more than VND1.79trillion. For basic construction, the total investment capital disbursed for basic construction was VND852.2bln or 100% of the set target. Six works, including schools and health stations, were put into operation. The city also well realized the national target programs. Accordingly, there were additional 210 poor households escaping poverty or 111.7% of the set target.
Upholding achievements done, TDM city in 2015 will focus on removing obstacles, speeding up the local economic growth and making the shift of the local economic structure towards 66.27% in services, 33.65% in industry and 0.08% in agriculture.
