TDM city’s WVA joins hands in Covid-19 prevention

Over the past days, TDM city’s War Veterans ‘Association (WVA) and its branches carried out many practical activities in response to the appeal of the city’s Fatherland Front Committee on public donation for Covid-19 prevention, control and people hit by saltwater intrusion.

As of now, around 100 proprietors being members of the local WVA have responded to the appeal by rent fee exemption and reduction with more than VND250million. They include Nguyen Van Muoi in Hoa Phu ward’s quarter 2 with the reduction level of VND15million for 38 lodging rooms; Nguyen Van Minh in Phu Tho ward’s quarter 4 with the reduction level of VND40million for 50 lodging rooms; Nguyen Ngoc Hoang in Phu Tho ward’s quarter 2 with the reduction level of VND16million for 40 lodging rooms…

War veterans of Phu Tho ward offer gifts to needy households

Many other war veterans have also actively realized many significant activities in response to the appeal. For example, Nguyen Van Tuyen in Phu Hoa ward’s quarter 9 sent 100 text messages raising funds for Covid-19 prevention and supported VND12million for the fight. Nguyen Van Kha in Phu Tho ward, Doan Minh Chien in Hiep Thanh ward also gave gifts for needy people…

Do Van Thanh, Vice-Chairman of TDM city’s WVA said that all 14 branches of the city’s WVA have enthusiastically responded to the appeal by raising rice, instant noodle…Prior to that, the VWA branches of Chanh Nghia, Phu Tho, Hiep An and Phu Hoa wards from March 23 to April 10, 2020 contributed nearly VND25million to the city’s Fatherland Front Committee for Covid-19 prevention.

In the coming time, TDM city’s VWA will continue calling for officials and members to support needy people. Upholding the tradition of “Uncle Ho’s soldier”, the city’s VWAs at all levels and each member will well realize Covid-19 prevention and control with active spirit, drastic attack…, Mr.Thanh affirmed.
