Early July 27, the Youth Union of TDM city in collaboration with the Youth Union branch of the Logistics Department under provincial Military Command held a series of activities to mark the 67th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2014).
Divided into groups, more than 70 Youth Union members took part in many different programs, including participating in a talk show on War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, exchanging with witnesses, former Con Dao prisoners, visiting and presenting gifts worth VND500,000 each to 3 Vietnamese heroic mothers. The delegation also visited and exchanged with war veteran Nguyen Lam Kien in Chanh Nghia ward.
The city’s Youth Union also instructed its branches to clean up the local monuments; visit and present gifts to policy beneficiary families; burn incense to commemorate and pay tribute to heroics and martyrs…
