Leaders of TDM city, on September 3, visited and presented gifts to the local poor children on the occasion of the 2014 mid-autumn festival.
On behalf of TDM city’s leaders, Nguyen Thu Cuc, Vice-Chairwoman of the city’s People’s Committee extended best regards to the local poor children and wished them a happy mid-autumn festival. She also hoped that they would well realize Uncle Ho’s 5 teachings and strive to become obedient children and good pupils while suggesting the local authorities at all levels to further excel at caring, protecting and educating children, creating the best conditions for their comprehensive development; pay more attention to those with extremely difficult circumstances.
On this occasion, TDM city’s People’s Committee presented 459 gifts worth VND92mln, including moon cakes and lanterns, to poor children across the city and the offspring of members of the local Association for the Blind.
*The same day, leaders of Di An town’s People’s Committee held a ceremony to award scholarships and mid-autumn gifts to 30 poor-but-excellent pupils.
Each pupil was presented a schoolbag, 20 notebooks and cash between VND800,000 and VND1mln.
On this occasion, 350 poor children across the town were also given mid-autumn gifts. It is known that each gift includes a box of moon cakes and VND100,000 in cash.
